This year, you can find the kids working hard to bring you our raw unfiltered Wildflower honey. If you have had our honey before, you know it tastes great and is healthy for you because it contains all the bits of pollen and micro particles your immune system wants. We also offer naturally flavored honey like our Vanilla honey, Chai honey, and Cinnamon honey. We stock 8 flavors of honey for tea and coffee sweeteners. The kids also help to make and sell Honey Stix. We stock 16 flavors of honey stix, and kids all over the area know that we will give any child a free honey stick when they visit the farmer's market. We have also started offering Creamed Honey. Creamed honey is 100% honey that has been "Spun" and cooled to force the honey to crystallize with tiny crystals. The end result is a butter consistency that allows you to use honey like a spread. Use it as a substitute for butter or margarine. Our honey is natural, and raised without the use of chemicals.
Our spa products include items made with pure natural beeswax. Lip balms are our best sellers, followed in a close second by cuticle butter. Why? Because beeswax naturally pulls moisture from the air to you. So when you have dry chapped lips or nails, it will moisten and soothe your skin. It does not cover up your
skin, or soften the skin as petroleum based products do. That's why you'll see a nice difference once you start using beeswax on your skin. We'll have lots of new flavors and scents in stock when the markets open.
New this year, we are also adding several healing salves and creams to our spa line. Look for Cracked Skin salve, Itch Salve (for pesky bug bites), and All Purpose Salve (kitchen burns, scrapes etc). Each are made by infusing natural herbs in oils to make the salve. We worked hard on developing a beeswax and Shea cream this past winter. We wanted a cream that would not feel greasy but would glide on your skin and not leave a heavy coat. Stop by, and we'll let you try some out.
We are also offering 100% beeswax candles this season. This is all Avry's development. She wanted to make candles last Christmas for family and friends. Did you know that 100% beeswax candles actually clean and purify the air? That you can make the air in your home healthier? As a beekeeper, I did not fully understand how this worked. After much winter reading, I have learned a lot about burning beeswax versus many other types of candles like soy or paraffin. We talked about adding essential oils to our candles, but when I learned about all the benefits to having pure burning beeswax, we quickly decided to leave it alone!
There is a lot to do before the markets start in May, but we wanted to let you know about some of the items you will be seeing, and the places we plan to be set up this summer. Here is our anticipated schedule. We're a "Sunshine only" vendor, if it's raining we will not be attending.

- Tuesday PM-Quincy Mall Farmer's Market 3300 Broadway, behind mall. 3pm (2pm) to 6pm. This market we attend every other week.

- Saturday AM-Hannibal Central Park Farmer's Market, 8am to noon. 450 Broadway, Hannibal
- Saturday AM-Washington Park Farmer's Market, 7:30am to Noon, Quincy IL
